Phillip Island Flora & Fauna Mural
Category: Animals & Nature Murals | School Murals
A mural painted at Newhaven College in Phillip Island, an island abundant with incredible local flora and fauna and especially known for their large Cape Goose, natural tones and scenic areas along with blue wrens and a long list of others. This mural was created inside the school to encapsulate that during my artist residency.
Painted during school hours the students got to see a first hand glimpse into this process all the way from the “doodle grid” technique that begins a vast majority of public art projects that are painted these days. Many questions, great conversations and hopefully going into the future this artwork can act as a point of inspiration for the creatives and a fresh breath of air for anyone else.
