Headspace Mural
Category: Community Murals
The concept behind this mural was a created inspired by ideas of the young people at the Wodonga Headspace and the crew at the Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Centre and went on to being painted and brought to life together as a team. Given a list of inspiration from the young people and indegenous artists I put together some loose concept sketches to run off, with a few minor tweaks we managed to create an artwork that spoke to all the key values of the space and signified a lot more than just a painting.
This was a very special project for me. My journey through my creative practice has been guided by the consistent pursuit of mental stability and at a young age I myself visited Headspace through this process. To see this all come full circle and to be able to share the thing that has helped dig me out of some dark places is pretty profound.
