Turning a Graffiti-Prone Wall Into a Lush Green Feature
Curious Water Dragon was the second mural I created for Eka Bulk Organic Wholefoods & Liquid Deli in Seddon. With the wall regularly attracting unwanted graffiti, the idea was to turn it into something the business and local community could enjoy: a vibrant, nature-inspired artwork with a creative twist.
I developed a concept built around an abundance of green, using flowing shapes and organic details to bring a sense of life and movement to the wall. The rich greens were chosen to complement the warm, orangey-brown tone of the existing wall, allowing the colours to work together rather than fighting against the building's natural character.
At the centre of the artwork is a curious water dragon, bringing a playful wildlife element into the design. Blending local nature with my signature street art style, the mural transforms an overlooked exterior wall into a distinctive feature that feels right at home alongside Eka's focus on organic wholefoods and natural living.
Sometimes, the right mural can completely change how a wall is experienced. Instead of being a magnet for unwanted graffiti, this space now has its own identity, adding colour and character to the streetscape while giving the business a unique piece of public-facing artwork.
