Cubby House Project

Raising funds for a good cause during Homelessness Awareness Week

Little Birdies, Bigger Picture

Category: Animals & Nature Murals | School Murals | Unique Shapes

A project that offered a great opportunity to spread awareness and raise funds for homelessness while teaching young students living regionally the importance of brightening up their community while learning some valuable techniques along the way.

I painted two cubbies for this project one being with the students of East Loddon p-12 College and one indipendantly. Both of these along with 5 other cubbies will then be displayed amongst regional towns in VIC with messages around the importance of the homelessness problem and how we can band together to help those in need.

After displaying these in towns around Regional Victoria they will be auctioned off and all funds raised will be donated directly to charities that work hand in hand with those experiencing tough times to seek housing.

Huge thanks to North Central LLEN & Northern District Community Health for doing such great things with the community.

Students Turn!

This project was painted over two days one where I painted the Cubby House above but another was dedicated to working along side 15 of the students from East Loddon P-12 College in designing their very own artwork. The theme they went with was “Under Water” Sitting down that morning we all drew out our own little versions of underwater themed imagery, here’s how it turned out.

I really enjoy painting projects with students like this, if you’d like to see more with this direction find it here: School Murals
